Tuition Reimbursement Program

We are looking at adding tuition reimbursement as a benefit offering for our employees. Our organization is a private physician practice with 250 employees.

I wanted to see what other employers, similar sized in the Ohio area, are providing with tuition reimbursement. Do you have a set dollar amount annually or a one-time award? If your employee is provided this benefit do you require length in employment after reimbursed?

I appreciate any feedback you can share on what you've seen work!

Thanks - Kristy

  • Hi Kristy! I work for a company that is much larger, but this is how the program works.

The employee must be employed for 1 year and have a good rating(at least 2+). Employees can go to any accredited college or University. They get 50% tuition reimbursement up to $10,000/year. The company only pays for tuition, not for other fees.
