August CincySHRM HR Roundtable - 8/4/26
NOTE: We have a new location for the monthly HR Roundtable !! We are going to start meeting at Four Corners Church. We’ll have a great meeting space and coffee !! I’m geeked to have this new location while Scarlet Oaks is going through its renovations. I’ve attached a screenshot of the location and listed directions to the church below.

No one likes conflict. No one. However, conflict is part of daily life. As much as we try to avoid it, we can’t. It can be a crippling factor within organizations. Often the person asked to step into conflict is HR. They may not be directly involved, but it seems to come with the territory.
If people are going to lead others, they need to learn how to identify conflict and work through it in a timely, measured manner. There’s a story that when a storm comes on the plains out in the west, buffaloes turn toward the storm and run through it while cows in the fields run with the storm to try to avoid it. We need to learn how to become buffaloes consistently !!
So, let's get together to tackle this challenging reality in our workplaces. The topic for the August HR Roundtable is – “Becoming Buffaloes – Walking Into, and Through, Conflict on Purpose !!”
We’ll meet at our new location – Four Corners Church on Tuesday, 8/4/26 from 8:30am to 9:30am. (This will be our meeting place for the next school year – at least, directions are below)
I want to make sure we avoid any conflict with this announcement. Take a few moments and push through to send me your RSVP to let me know if you can attend the August HR Roundtable. I hope you can join in for this needed discussion on a topic where we can all learn to improve !!
Thanks – Steve

Instructions for the HR Roundtable:
- The HR Roundtable is open to one and all !! The meeting has an HR/Business focus each month, and we get together to discuss that topic as well as network. So, if you’re in HR, are a small business owner, are a resource partner who works with HR folks, a professional in transition, etc. – you are welcome to attend the Roundtable !!
- The “dress” for the Roundtable is business casual. We’re not very formal, and you’ll be fine however you dress. It’s more important to have you come and attend the forum.
- Please come in and sign in for the Roundtable. It helps me keep track of who’s active in the forum. The sign-up sheets and nametags will be at a table right inside the room.
- If you’re someone in transition, feel free to bring five (5) copies of your resume to put out at our Resume Table. Make sure to staple them if you have multiple pages.
- Chances are, I’ll be outside to greet you and welcome you to the Roundtable so you can find your way to our meeting room. We’ll have signs up for you as well.
Directions to the HR Roundtable at Four Corners Church:
- The church’s address is: 7740 Service Center Dr, West Chester, OH 45069
- The best way to get to the church is to take I-75 to the Liberty Way exit. If you’re coming North on I-75, you’ll turn right onto Liberty Way. If you’re coming South on I-75, you’ll turn left onto Liberty Way.
- Go up to the next traffic light and turn right onto Cox Road.
- Go past the new Marathon Station to Service Center Drive.
- Turn right onto Service Center Drive.
- Take the driveway straight until it ends. You’ll see parking at the front and side of the building. The building is grayish, and you’ll see FOUR CORNERS CHURCH up on the top left corner of the building as you pull in.
- You can park in any space unless it’s marked off by the other businesses that run along the same building structure. We have plenty of parking. If the front and side fill up, you can park behind the church and in front of Grainworks Brewery.
- Come to the front of the building for the Main Entrance. I’ll be outside to greet you !!
