Emergency Contact System for Employees

(This question came to me anonymously from an HR peer. - Steve)

We are looking into an emergency contact systems so we can notify our employees in case an emergency occurs. We would like one that can send out a mass text to all of our staff, and can also verify their numbers. Does anyone have any recommendations of something like this that isn't too costly?

Thanks for any feedback/suggestions you can provide.

  • Hi - we have used CallFire to send out mass texts and voicemails to employees.  I think it's a great system and the cost is very reasonable.  We do not subscribe to a plan and just pay for credits as we need them.  I have not had to use it for an emergency notification system but my opinion is it would be very easy to do that.  Especially if you keep an active list of employee phone numbers in the system.  It does show a report when the campaign is finished where you can verify messages were sent.

We use One Call Now - employees can sign up to get text, email or voicemail - the system allows you to send test messages, as well

  • We have used text-em-all. It is a very user friendly system that allows the person receiving the message to respond without replying to all.
