Looking at Org Structure
(This came to me from a VP of HR anonymously - Steve)
I'm deep into a project looking at how we're structured organizationally. We're trying to break the pattern of using a hierarchy structure, but I'm finding resistance internally from other leadership team members and from the company as a whole.
We're looking at areas of work, workflow, scope, and reach of people's roles and then designing how people should be most effectively connected across the organization.
Does anyone have examples of non-hierarchy org structures? If so, would you please point me in the right direction or share your experience?
Thanks in advance!

Steve, non-hierarchical org design is a fudamental aspect of my consulting approach.
I have been exploring decentralized and democratized organizations extensively over the past two years and would be honored to have a confidential talk with the anonymous HR VP about their desires and aspirations for reimagining their organization's structure.
My approach is based on the principles of the BetaCodex, popularized in the book "Organize for Complexity" by Niels Pflaeging, who is the founder of the BetaCodex Network.
I broadcast a live stream discussion every week with Niels where we explore all facets of the BetaCodex and issues related to non-hierarchical organizations.
For anyone else who has a desire to explore making a decentralized, federated, and democratic organization a reality, they can reach me at rijon.erickson@redforty2.com, or schedule a conversation with me at https://tidycal.com/rijon.For more info on the BetaCodex, see https://betacodex.org.
