Fundraiser to support a fellow HR pro and great human - Nicole Roberts - in her fight against breast cancer

Hello, fellow HR leaders around the world!

Can you imagine what it would be like to get an unexpected notice that you're being laid off from your HR executive job in December 2022, only to also get the unexpected news that you've been diagnosed with breast cancer 9 days later?

Our colleague - Nicole Roberts - who is located in the Greater Cincinnati area is currently navigating through that challenging experience, and myself and my friend Laurie Ruettimann have launched a GoFundMe campaign to support our friend Nicole in overcoming the medical and financial challenges she is in the midst of, so she can return to doing what she does best – transforming workplaces and lives.

Nicole recently sat with Laurie and I to record a podcast interview sharing more about her experience with being laid off, and receiving the shocking diagnosis during the holiday season, as well as how she’s embarked on a courageous journey to conquer cancer, while navigating the financial challenges associated with the cost of her family’s living expenses and her own medical care - as well as starting her own HR coaching and consulting business.

The interview will be shared on Laurie's Punk Rock HR podcast on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, and on Jennifer's Impact Makers podcast on Thursday, June 8, 2023, if you would like to hear more of Nicole's story.

However, the GoFundMe page is live now, and we would love to see the global HR community surround Nicole with support if you are able to do so financially (no donation amount is too small), and certainly with your prayers and messages of support.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in Nicole's life, empowering her to continue her mission of transforming leaders and organizations for the better.
