HR Administrator Seeking a Mentor

I currently support HR as a department of one for a small healthcare technology company of approximately 65 employees. While I am committed to the role and eager to grow, I have not previously worked within a formal HR department and would greatly value guidance from someone experienced in the field.

I am looking for a mentor who can help me build the skills and confidence needed to evolve from what is often perceived as an administrative or “party planning” function into a true strategic business partner.

I’m naturally more introverted, want to lead with empathy (just like Steve), and want to grow in a way that stays aligned with my strengths and values while expanding my impact within the organization.

    Hi Linda,

    I love that you're committed to your growth.  Your team is lucky to have you! I've been in HR for over 10 years, mostly supporting manufacturing/distribution businesses.  I don't consider myself an expert but have gotten feedback from my peers that I am a good business partner.
