Employee Appraisal revamp

We are a small manufacturing company (50 people). Our appraisal system is old and arduous. I am looking at revamping it so that our employees are getting better feedback more often. Would anyone in a similar situation be willing to share their experience of what works for them?

    Hello Ashley

Feel free to connect on LinkedIn. There are many HR ppl that are going through this. Archaic may also be pretty subjective dependent on what you are trying to do. You may not be that bad. Let's connect!

  • Hey Ashley!
We have revamped our appraisal process quite a few times and finally feel we are in a good spot. We currently do quarterly goal setting and evaluations for all but high level management (who do 2x's a year reviews plus a 360 review).
Additionally, some of our service based roles have a monthly score card they have certain metrics attached to. Each month, they are provided confirmation of their final results and their manager discusses where they landed in their scores vs what goals were set for each individual on the team.
I'd be happy to connect in more detail if any of these things sound useful for you! Feel free to message me at koverzet@populusgroup.com if so!
