Headquartered in Kent, Ohio, AMETEK's Advanced Motion Solutions Division is a recognized global leader in world-class precision motion control and dynamic fluid solutions.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist at our divisional level to carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: compensation and benefits, training and development, recruitment and onboarding, HR systems, employee and labor relations, HR policies and procedures, diversity and inclusion and employment equity programs. This person will report to our DVP, Human Resources, supporting 3 of AMETEK's business units and interacting with our global HR team in 9 countries.

Some of the things you will do:

  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters
  • Assist in the administration of the various human resource functions and policies 
  • Conduct new hire orientation and coordinate the full onboarding process for the Kent facility
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee issues and coordinate processes of responding to complaints
  • Distribute information on and explain benefits programs such as retirement, health, life, disability, and workers' compensation plans to employees and dependents
  • Manage employee events and maintain partnerships with the local community
  • Gather and consolidate divisional information for Corporate meetings and presentations, as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare and enters separation and COBRA information; Analyze separation data to make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement

 What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A) from a four-year college or equivalent; PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • 2+ years of HR experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of employee relations and human resources principles
  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred
  • Strong PC and business systems knowledge; ADP and SuccessFactors are considered a plus
  • Ability to resolve a course of action within diversified, yet explicit, well-established procedures
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law
