Hiring Warehouse - Ghosting
Is it just our industry (wholesale plumbing) or is everyone seeing a lot of ghosting going on? We have hired a couple new employees they show up for few days then they just don't show up or call or respond to anything at all. I have seen this several times this year. It's just crazy. In my 16+ years this is the first time I've seen so much of it!

I am in wholesale distribution and have seen the same. We have tried many different tactics to improve our retention with mixed results. Ultimately improving our onboading and creating a "buddy" system has had the greatest impact in retaining new hires.
We have also had many candidates ghosting post offer which we have not been able to improve much.

I'm in the the Restaurant/Food and Services/Call Center industry and this happens all the time!

It happens often in Hospitality as well. I add notes to my hiring site so I don't waste time again if they apply.
