The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
Hours of Work: 24 hours/week; Specific Days/Hours to be determined (May vary depending on operational need)
The duties for the HCM Analyst position include but are not limited to:
Assists in the scheduling/interviewing/hiring process of new employees: Schedules interviews, may sit on interview panel, refers appropriate applicants for drug screening, completes hiring process (e.g., schedules sign-up, background checks, reference checks, explains salary & benefits, creates files & processes all hiring paperwork, inputs new employee information into OPERS ECS system, etc.); conducts HR orientation (e.g., policies & procedures, employee services, benefits & workplace expectations) to new employees.
Maintains License tracking-making sure all are up to date and in employee files. Assists with HR filing needs in employee files.
Performs related administrative duties: completes employment verification forms & processes reference checks on active/inactive employees, Order supplies/equipment (e.g., completes storeroom orders & maintains inventory of general office supplies, orders low cost supplies & equipment through fiscal purchasing agent or direct contact with established vendors for bids & completes request to purchase (RTP) orders). Maintains OhioMHAS/SBH forms drawers and keeps forms up-to-date. Maintains I-9 files (active/inactive). Performs other duties as requested
Acts as Subject Matter Expert in ePerformance: Manage the employee evaluation process; act as HR approver; verify all components of evaluation; give feedback and training evaluators as needed; send notices to supervisors, track Performance Improvement Plans, send reminder notices, provide monthly reports to HR Director.
Coordinate exit interviews with staff that have resigned or are retiring. Complete the Separation Checklist (e.g., updating files, Sharepoint notification, deleting from My Learning Point, pulling I-9 active and putting in in-active, processing the separation PA through ePAR, etc.)
Updates and maintains tracking for Time/Attendance pattern abuse: reviews issues with HR Director, and provides Physician Verification notifications to employees/supervisors as needed.

Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.
- Or 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
- Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
