HR Manager - Valcom Enterprises, Wilder, KY

We are looking for a  Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for all HR functions  within the organization which include but are not limited to recruitment, compensation administration, performance management, employee
relations and HR compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling employee benefits including health, dental, vision, short/long term disability and 401K, programs for all employees
  • Managing workers compensation and drug screening in conjunction with the Safety Director
  • Maintaining relationship with facilitator of Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Full cycle recruitment
  • Manages employee handbook
  • Works with the senior management team to identify and develop recruitment, retention and sourcing strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with all Local, State and Federal Laws
  • EEO Compliance / Workforce Diversity Goals
  • Works with the superintendent to determine the appropriate staffing levels
  • Facilitates effective employee relations between our two separate locations
  • Completing new hire orientation training along with managing yearly harassment and discrimination training, also recommending and designing training programs
  • Completes yearly performance reviews in conjunction with management
  • Assist all departments in obtaining both the short- and long-term strategic goals of the organization.
  • Being a team leader and understanding the importance of teamwork and accountability
  • Shall be knowledgeable of computers and have a good record keeping strategy
  • Comply with current and future safety policies
  • Any additional duties that may be appointed by senior management

Additional responsibilities:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • May travel up to 25% locally

Successful candidates in this role will:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Have a minimum of 4 years HR management experience required
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Possesses high level knowledge of employment law (including FMLA)
  • Member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is preferred
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification preferred
