We have a casual company dinner for all employees and spouses at an offsite location. We play cards, corn hole, have a photo booth contest, etc. After fun and dinner, employees who had a 5-year work increment anniversary from April 1 to March 31 come to stage, have a bio read by a fellow co-worker, receive a plaque and a gift card ($10 per each year of service). We also have 2 special awards recognized with an engraved award and gift card - People First (new hires nominate the tenured employee who went beyond in helping out and welcoming the new employees to the company) and -Your Success Our Passion award - each department recognizes an employee from another department who was instrumental to the nominating department throughout the year.

In addition to the normal 5 year milestones, Harmon is adding 1 and 3 year anniversary recognition starting in 2019. We give out recognition points for service awards and spot awards now towards an online catalog where employees can save and spend on whatever they want. The manager handles the presentation. Most of the time it is done in a group setting, but occasionally private because the employee prefers it. We also include all annual anniversaries in our monthly newsletter.

We do an annual event for all employees in early December. We do monetary gifts on the 5s... this past year we have begun to give smaller tokens for years 1-4 . Tee shirt for year one; tumbler for year two; hoodie for year three; and $50 for year 4 - all the swag has the company logo of course. People have reacted quite well to the swag.
