In addition to the facilitated learning, attendees will have the chance to network and get to know other participants during our session breaks. We're also bringing back panelists from our October TAT program on "Alternative Approaches to Attracting New Talent" (City Gospel, JobsPlus, Easterseals, The Help Program, and Job Search Focus Group,etc.) to answer questions throughout the evening. Each organization will have a table with information to share. Adult beverages (Each attendee will receive 2 drink tickets) and soft drinks will be served, in addition to appetizers and finger food. 

The program will take a pro-active approach by offering multiple hot trends in talent acquisition. Participants will get the opportunity to choose 3 topics and participate by moving from table to table staffed by the SME for that hot topic. The SME will introduce the topic in a short 5-minute overview and the remaining 15 minutes the SME will facilitate Q&A/discussion with the participants at the table. The topics are: 

(1) Strategies to Prevent Candidate Ghosting (SME - Matt Baker) 
(2) Understanding How to Stay Up to Date on Talent Acquisition Trends (SME - Jodi Brandstetter)
(3) Updating HR Policies to Better Attract Talent (SME - Walt Tracy)
(4) Recruiters Role In Building Diversity & Inclusion (SME – Ashlee Essex)  
(5) How to Hire for Soft Skills (SME - Erica Carlson)

Subject Matter Experts

Erica Carlson: Erica is a Talent Acquisition Professional with over 7 years of Human Resources experience. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional and currently works for Episcopal Retirement Services as a Talent Acquisition Partner. 
 


 

Ashlee Essex: Ashlee is a Human Resources Professional with over 12 years of Human Resources experience. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional and currently works for Rumpke Waste & Recycling as a West Area Recruitment Manager.
 

 

Jodi Brandstetter: Jodi has over 16 years of Human Resource/Talent Acquisition experience. She provides expertise in recruitment and sourcing strategies including online and passive sourcing, social media, grass roots and high-volume recruiting. Jodi has extensive experience with legal and compliance within the talent acquisition space. She’s the Chief Talent Acquisition Strategist at Lean Effective Talent Strategies LLC.

 

Walt Tracy: Walt has his Master’s in Business Administration combined with over 16+ years of leveraging technology and people as a strategic business partner who maximizes technology ROI while building teams, platforms, and sourcing strategies that ensure innovative solutions, effective delivery, and efficient technology operations. He is owner of AtWork Personnel. 
 

 

Matt Baker: Matt has over 25 years of Human Resources/Talent Acquisition experience. He is a result driven senior talent acquisition leader. Matt has experience in managing recruitment strategies to identify top talent in healthcare, engineering, and information technology. He is also a Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional and Consultant, President, & Founder of KNK Recruiting.
