
Outreach & Engagement Coordinator for Make It Plain Consulting, LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio
Our firm is looking for an Outreach & Engagement Coordinator (OEC) to join us. This is a full-time, exempt position playing a vital role in supporting and enhancing workforce programming in alignment with the mission of Make It Plain Consulting.
The OEC focuses on program awareness, participant recruitment, outreach, and engagement, with a particular emphasis on increasing access for underrepresented groups in the construction industry.
This person will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with community organizations, stakeholders, and workforce program partners to ensure participant success. Key responsibilities include coordinating events, managing participant data, and providing administrative and consultative support to Make It Plain Consulting’s Senior Consultant for Business and Workforce Engagement Outreach. The ideal candidate is highly adaptive, organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments while supporting a multi-year construction initiative.

- Skilled in maintaining accurate and secure databases for outreach contacts.
- Proficient in planning and executing events, supporting special projects, and ensuring follow-through on administrative tasks.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).\
- Strong data management and reporting skills, including use of spreadsheets and shared documentation platforms.
- Experienced in managing media platform content and supporting digital engagement strategies.

- Proven ability to resolve compliance-related and operational issues with professionalism.

- Experienced in providing backup project support and facilitating smooth operations during staff absences.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, education, marketing, human services, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders; more than five years preferred.
- Prior experience in workforce development, training programs, or related fields such as construction trades, apprenticeships, or working with contractors.
- Demonstrated experience in program implementation, community outreach, and recruitment.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally and attend evening or weekend events as needed.
