Driver Pay Structures

Hello!

We have a team of about 11 drivers whose hours will fluctuate based on business dynamics. We've got a few goals with this team:

  • Reduce OT
  • Reduce unnecessary hours out on the road
  • Improve morale

We're looking at more efficient routing but are also toying with the idea of guaranteeing 40 hours pay even if actual hours worked is under 40. Of course they would still be eligible for OT.  We're thinking this will incentivize them to be more efficient and improve morale.

Are there any other approaches for us to consider?
