We seek a part-time Administrator to join the Human Resources Department.

 

Who We Are

 

Human Resources at The Rockefeller University handles academic appointments, staff recruitment, administration of benefits, administration and explanation of policies and procedures, affirmative action, employee relations, and immigration. We encourage employee questions and comments and strive to professionally serve our scientific community, offering a comprehensive benefits package, training courses, progressive on-line access to confidential employee data through secure password access, information on complex immigration updates, and general support of all University personnel issues.

 

The Position 

 

The Administrator, Human Resources will be responsible for the organization of all office needs. This position is part-time, 25 hours per week (ideally M-F, 5 hours per day).

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Managing the departmental budget
  • Handling the processing of contracts
  • Ordering all office supplies on two seperate floors
  • Processing invoices and billing for all groups
  • Reconciling corporate cards
  • Purchasing and supervising the maintenance of office and computer equipment
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • Operating as a liaison to the necessary departments across campus
  • Facilitating and developing strong business relationships
  • Assisting walk-ins with various inquiries
  • Assisting employees via main phone line and e-mail
  • Participating in special departmental projects as required

 

You Have / You Are

 

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Five years of related work experience
  • Coursework or knowledge of Human Resources processes and procedures
  • An outstanding communicator with strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Able to prioritize, take initiative, be attentive to detail, and have a focus on quality
  • Advanced computer skills
