Employee Engagement Coordinator for Countryside YMCA - Cincinnati, Ohio

Countryside YMCA's Employee Experience Coordinator will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of employee experience initiatives which support the full employee lifecycle.  This role is also responsible for performing HR-related duties in support of the Employee Services Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the strategy and execution of Employee Experience initiatives that support the full employee journey from onboarding through separation.
  • Develops and coordinates Countryside’s “Changing Lives” onboarding program and serves as lead trainer.
  • Develops and implements onboarding activities to support key staff managers for the first ninety (90) days of a new hire’s employee life cycle.
  • Develops and administers employee recognition programs throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Plans and executes staff appreciation events such as the Years of Service Awards and summer/holiday celebrations.
  • Supports the Employee Services Director on Employee Relations issues and administrative tasks which arise due to business necessity.
  • Facilitates presentations, trainings and other development activities in-person and via virtual mediums
  • Other duties as assigned, as dictated by business needs

Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18+ years of age, background check required
  • 2+ years of industry experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Degree in Human Resources or discipline with transferrable skills is preferred
  • Prior experience training staff or facilitating group discussions
  • Strong skill set in communication, active listening, organization, time management and conflict resolution.
  • Experience working with other community-based organizations is a plus
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Excel and Payroll/HRIS systems
  • Experience exercising discretion; ability to maintain confidentiality, build trust and credibility within all levels of the organization

Rate of Pay:  $20.00/hour plus a complimentary individual membership to the Countryside YMCA! 

Hours and Days:  20 hours weekly, schedule to be determined in coordination with the Employee Services Director
