FMLA Case Law Update - indefinite intermittent leave; Federal pregnancy laws and more - 3/2/23

FMLA Case Law Update Webinar March 2, 2023    2.0 SHRM/HRCI

Speakers/Hosts:
Darlene Mack, CEO, HR Partners Int’l, Inc
Jeff Shoskin, Partner, Frost Brown Todd; Labor and Employment Law

Jeff Shoskin, Partner with FBT, will review various FMLA decisions issued in 2022, focusing on decisions that illustrate what employers did right and what they did wrong.

Jeff also will review a new Dept. of Labor opinion letter (GULP) that states that an employer must allow employees to take intermittent leave to work a reduced schedule (e.g., cannot work more than 8 hours per day) for an indefinite period of time – as long as they have not exhausted their FMLA leave entitlement.

Jeff also will review two new federal laws which expanded protections for pregnant and nursing mothers.

Going to be interesting!  If you have questions for Jeff, send them to me, Darlene Mack and I will share them with Jeff ahead of time. darlene@HRPIInc.com
