Major Goals and Responsibilities:

The Human Resource Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes for the company.

Essential Activities:

  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up-to-date
  • Create a benefits and wellness strategy for all employees utilizing best practices
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Maintain HR systems and processes
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
  • Design and implement employee training and retention strategies
  • Ensure HR files, records, and documentation are accurate and up-to-date
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records

Prerequisites (i.e. education, experience):

  • At least ten years of human resource management experience is required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred
  • An associate degree in human resources or a related field is highly preferred
  • PowerPoint and Excel expert-level skills are highly preferred
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of computer technology and terms
  • Proficient with payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.  Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, COBRA, Social Security and DOL requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work full time, be able to sit, stand or stoop for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds

Compensation Methods: 

Base salary and bonus plan performance compensation.
