Session Description:

Session Bio:
Daniel (Dan) M. Semsel, Colonel, United States Air Force (Retired) is the Southwest Ohio Regional Workforce Consultant for the Ohio Department of Veterans Services. Dan joined the ODVS team in October, 2016. He is a veteran of Operations DESERT STORM, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM and has fie deployments under his belt. Dan brings a wealth of experience to his position and has been involved in veterans’ employment issues in the community since he retired from the Air Force in 2013.

Before joining the Department of Veterans Services, Dan led the Veterans and Employers Connection. The “Connection” is an affiliation of employers, support service organizations and community associations in partnership with Goodwill Easter Seals Miami. The objective of that organization is to provide meaningful, long-term employment opportunities for veterans across the Miami Valley.

On the side, Dan is an avid runner and Marathon Maniac, having completed 61 marathons and 15 ultramarathons. He twice qualified for the Western States Endurance Run, a 100 mile trail race in Squaw Valley California. He is also a certified USA Track and Field Coach who leads the 4Seasons Training Team in Kettering, Ohio.

Dan grew up in Athens, Ohio, attended Ohio University, and is a proud Bobcat who bleeds Green and White. He is married to the former Kim Barker of Reading, Ohio. Dan and Kim have two opinionated and artistically gifted daughters who have their father wrapped around their fingers.

Session handouts will be distributed to the email address used when registering within 24-48 hours after the session.

• Cancellations must be received by 12:00 noon on the Friday before the event in order not to be billed.
