Responsible for Human Resources activities and support in 2 (currently) pet hospital locations.  These activities include, but are not limited to: employment, employee relations, training and development, policy development and interpretation, onboarding, and employment law compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of Human Resource experience.
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM certification.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication.  Ability to present to groups.
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
• Evidence of the practice of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

🐾HISTORY OF CARE CENTER🐾

Started in December 2000, the Cincinnati Animal Referral and Emergency Center, or Care Center as it has become known, was the brain child of the four owners, Dr. Daniel Carey, Dr. Douglas Hoffman, Dr. Sharmila Ruparel, and Dr. Michele Muldoon. After working in an after hour emergency facility that closed at 8 AM, Drs. Carey, Hoffman, and Ruparel knew that the referring community and general public wanted a 24-hour facility that housed not only emergency, but other specialties as well. A call to Dr. Hoffman’s former classmate and Cincinnati native, Dr. Michele Muldoon, brought a board certified surgeon to the Care Center, and the four partners opened as the only 24-hour ER/Critical Care and referral practice in the Tri-State area. 

Care Center saw rapid growth over the next several years, and found its 6800 sq. ft. surroundings too small to practice the high quality medicine Care Center was now known for.  In 2004, Care Center went through a major remodeling project that added 14,000 sq. ft. to the current facility. This major remodel allowed Care Center to add advanced treatment and imaging modalities like CT scans and radiation oncology as well as doubled Care Center’s capacity to treat sick patients.  This was all done while remaining open 24 hours a day.  As Care Center added specialists and ER doctors, the radius of patients being referred grew. 

Dayton was becoming a large referral source for Cincinnati, so in 2008, the Care Center of Dayton was opened as a 24-hour ER/Critical Care satellite with specialists seeing appointments part-time. 

In July 2016, Care Center joined Compassion-First Pet Hospitals, a family of 30 emergency, specialty and general practice hospitals located throughout the United States.  Care Center’s management still looks for new and improved ways to bring the highest quality medicine and service to the Tri-State area, while maintaining a personal touch to all our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.  We are grateful for the support we have received through the years, and look forward to serving the Cincinnati/Dayton markets and possible future markets for many years to come.
