My niece is a new graduate with a degree in  Animal Science with some zoo experience. She wants to continue with zoos with a focus on outreach to the community through zoo animals.  We know this is a limited career as zoos only need so many such workers. 

I'm looking for tips, especially for someone who is just entering the field from school.  Tips on what to bring forward in their application. Is a Master's degree preferred, or find work first?
