HRIS Advice

We are currently with UKG and are MASSIVELY dissatisfied.

We do not need an ATS or a performance module (we have Ashby and Lattice).  Really looking at just a "meat and potatoes" HRIS if you will. I received a short list report from a company called Outsail that vets HRIS for clients. I'm leaning toward BambooHR.  Pros?  Cons??? 

REALLY don't want to switch again in the future, any thoughts welcome!

    Hi Sabrina,

    We have used BambooHR for several years and like it for our day-to-day HRIS needs.  I find that it is easy to use and enables our managers to quickly get the information they need.  We entertained using the performance module, but that module isn't really set up to be effective for our environment so we have also elected to manage our performance activities outside of it.  My step-daughter runs a NGO outside of the US and they also use BambooHR and love it, particularly for the accessibility to information for their employees and managers.  (They do use the performance module as it fits well with their organization's culture.)

    So here are some things we love about the system:

    • Time-off tracking works very well and is pretty simple to setup (and change)
    • Basic employee information folders are comprehensive and intuitively laid out so you find what you need efficiently
    • Reporting is solid with Standard reports available and options for customization features which are very easy to use
    •  The BambooHR support team is excellent to work with when needed and they do a great job of communicating updates and providing training support to bring you up to speed quickly.
    • I also feel like the value vs. expense for access is very competitive.

    We really don't have anything that we dislike, although we choose not to use some of the modules or features.  For instance, we don't use the payroll part of their system as we have another procedure for this.  My daughter's organization does, however, and they love it.

    Hi! Likely a reminder but consider what areas your employees are dissatisfied with as well. From a users perspective I've always found Bamboo pretty easy but I really like ADP. Both mobile & web environments I've experienced across a couple different employers is very simple and easy to navigate. I've recently heard positive reviews about Dayforce.
