Job Opportunity – Director, Human Resources with Genoa Township in Delaware County, OH. 

In office position; M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

As the Director, Human Resources, you will perform a variety of complex administrative, technical, and professional work in directing and supervising the Human Resources function of the organization. You will work under the guidance of the Township Administrator and Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities include:

• Effectively communicate with employees, township officials, labor unions and the general public.
• Oversee employee benefits and new hire orientation.
• Assist with labor negotiations.
• Facilitate strategic planning within the Human Resource Department and make recommendations to Board of Trustees.
• Partner with Fiscal Department on payroll and employee benefits.
• Provide leadership and direction of short and long-range strategic plans.
• Leads talent management/recruiting process.
• Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Oversees employee performance evaluations.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.

Other requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related degree, preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Thorough knowledge of policies and practices of public personnel administration.
• Experience with Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) and the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Plans.
• Talent in clear, positive, and effective communication to multiple audiences.
• Proven experience in promoting an engaging and positive organizational culture.
• Must be bondable.
