The world today is nothing that we have seen before. Companies are navigating the uncertainty and ambiguity with the future of work and the future of their company. Design thinking is a method of problem solving that can be used to navigate these times. The process can help inspire new ideas and solutions to move their organizations forward. The session will cover the basic principles of the design thinking methodology, show how questioning can facilitate idea generation, and explore case studies of how companies have utilized design thinking during the coronavirus pandemic.

Jodi Brandstetter – Lean Effective Talent Strategies, Chief Talent Strategist
With over 17 years in talent acquisition, Jodi has knowledge in both developing a strong recruitment strategy and building relationships with leadership to ensure the hiring process is compliant with laws and regulations. Jodi has created teams from the ground up throughout the country, and is the founder of Talent Acquisition Evolution, a community for recruiting professionals to connect, learn and work together. Jodi lives outside of Cincinnati, OH with her amazing husband and high-energy daughter. Originally from Indiana, Jodi obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Evansville, as well as her love for basketball.
Amanda Hopper, MLS – Stormcells Executive Director
Amanda is the Founder and Executive Director of Stormcells Incorporated. Stormcells is a nonprofit organization with the mission of supporting nonprofits and small businesses through creative problem solving. Amanda received her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science in 2005, and worked in the public library sector until 2018 when she transitioned from her full-time role as an Assistant Director of Boone County Public Library to Director of Stormcells.
