Miami University's Human Capital Management and Leadership Major is excited to announce the first speaker in its new Leadership and HR Speakers Series...Steve Browne, SHRM-SCP.   Steve will be addressing What Should the Workplace of the Future Look Like!

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management Miami University as well as Butler Warren SHRM (BWSHRM, the third oldest SHRM chapter in the country).

The event will be held at the Miami University Farmer School of Business Room 1000, 800 E High St, Oxford OH 45056. This event is a great opportunity to learn and network with other HR professionals as well as show support for future leaders.

The major in Human Capital Management and Leadership (HCML) prepares graduates to understand how the best organizations attract, develop, and lead their talent to create sustained competitive advantage. The graduates will develop knowledge and skills in organizational behavior; human resource management; effective leadership; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and strategic management.

Steve's presentation will focus on how the expectations of employees are constantly evolving and what companies need to do to keep up. The days of “work first” have passed. Employees are now seeking “people first” organizations. Come hear an HR executive who gets this and makes people first come to life in how he practices HR and Business. Steve Browne is the Chief People Officer for LaRosa’s, Inc. He is an accomplished author and speaker who shows others how to find, develop, and sustain a people-first culture. This isn’t your traditional approach to what you “think” about Human Resources.
