Job Opportunity: Contract HR Generalist with BERPL Inc. in Cincinnati, OH

 

Onsite | October 2026 – December 2026 | 40 Hours/Week

As the Contract HR Generalist, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience by supporting payroll, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and employee communication across multiple businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for six companies using Paycor, including new hires, employee changes, deductions, and terminations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Support and administer annual Open Enrollment activities through Paycor.
  • Manage employee benefit enrollments, changes, and ongoing benefits administration.
  • Review, reconcile, and analyze payroll and benefits reports across multiple companies.
  • Maintain employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Launch and track employee performance reviews within Paycor.
  • Assist with reporting and audits related to 401(k), ESOP, workers' compensation, ACA, and other compliance requirements.
  • Reconcile W-2, tax, and ACA reporting completed through the payroll system.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll and benefits reports.
  • Support employee wellness initiatives and programs.
  • Coordinate meeting and event logistics as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform additional HR and payroll-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Hands-on Paycor experience required.
  • Experience supporting employee benefits and open enrollment programs.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Service-oriented, positive, and approachable attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Previous HR Generalist experience supporting multiple locations or entities, preferred.
  • Experience with payroll audits, compliance reporting, and benefits administration, preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee wellness initiatives, preferred.
  • Familiarity with ACA, 401(k), and workers' compensation reporting, preferred.
