Have you noticed that everyone is different, or is it just me ?? No matter what I try at work, everyone brings their own unique perspective and viewpoint to whatever they’re tasked with. At the same time, companies ask for policies and procedures that cover everyone the same. The minute something is issued, seventeen people have found at least one loophole in how the policy or procedure can be broken. It never fails. However, that doesn’t stop us from continuing to push that rock back up the hill.

What if we had a different mindset and approach ?? What would work look like if we embraced that everyone is naturally different, we leveraged their strengths, and then collaborated to make a holistic work environment ??

I think it’s worth talking about. Let’s gather for the September HR Roundtable to take on the topic – “Striving for Unity not Uniformity in the Workplace.”

We’ll meet at our new location – Four Corners Church on Tuesday, 9/1/26 from 8:30am to 9:30am. (Directions are below)

Instructions for the HR Roundtable:

• The HR Roundtable is open to one and all !!  The meeting has an HR/Business focus each month, and we get together to discuss that topic as well as network.  So, if you’re in HR, are a small business owner, are a resource partner who works with HR folks, a professional in transition, etc. – you are welcome to attend the Roundtable !!

• The “dress” for the Roundtable is business casual. We’re not very formal, and you’ll be fine however you dress. It’s more important to have you come and attend the forum.

• Please come in and sign in for the Roundtable. It helps me keep track of who’s active in the forum. The sign-up sheets and nametags will be at a table right inside the room.

• If you’re someone in transition, feel free to bring five (5) copies of your resume to put out at our Resume Table. Make sure to staple them if you have multiple pages.

• Chances are, I’ll be outside to greet you and welcome you to the Roundtable so you can find your way to our meeting room. We’ll have signs up for you as well.

Directions to the HR Roundtable at Four Corners Church:

• The church’s address is: 7740 Service Center Dr, West Chester, OH 45069

• The best way to get to the church is to take I-75 to the Liberty Way exit. If you’re coming North on I-75, you’ll turn right onto Liberty Way. If you’re coming South on I-75, you’ll turn left onto Liberty Way.

• Go up to the next traffic light and turn right onto Cox Road.

• Go past the new Marathon Station to Service Center Drive.

• Turn right onto Service Center Drive.

• Take the driveway straight until it ends. You’ll see parking at the front and side of the building. The building is grayish, and you’ll see FOUR CORNERS CHURCH up on the top left corner of the building as you pull in.

• You can park in any space unless it’s marked off by the other businesses that run along the same building structure. We have plenty of parking. If the front and side fill up, you can park behind the church and in front of Grainworks Brewery.
