Abstract Displays Incorporated was established to provide the face-to-face event industry with a company that provided a level of service beyond the comprehension of the client, “True Service Excellence!” Abstract Displays, Inc. is a premier designer and producer of dimensional solutions for trade show exhibits, events, environments and all face-to-face sales, marketing and corporate needs, including graphics and turnkey support services. Abstract’s commitment is to provide its clients with the proper tools required to assist them in becoming more efficient and effective in their jobs and to boost the overall performance of their events and marketing programs. We are looking to add a Human Resource Manager to the team! This person will be in person/onsite, not remote or hybrid.

The onsite Human Resource Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading all recruiting efforts to engage and attract high level talent into the organization.
  • Conducting new employee orientations.
  • Engaging the team and effectively managing employee relations.
  • Improving manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Assisting in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new updates to policies and procedures for continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Developing, implementing, and auditing performance evaluation systems.
  • Analyzing training needs to design employee development programs and developing training plans for individuals and groups and identify how the plans will be met.
  • Maintains employee personnel files and other departmental files in an organized and secure and confidential manner.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assisting in coordinating and implementing plant safety activities, company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assisting in coordinating and implementing company sponsored events and employee recognition programs.

The ideal candidate will need strong organizational skills with the ability to evaluate current situations and make recommendations for improvements. Additionally, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, developing associates, team building, engagement, employee relations, and aligning business objectives with management and employees. 
  • Demonstrated management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, willing and able to contribute to a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a history of accuracy in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Microsoft products, payroll software, and 401(k) systems. 
  • PHR certification or related certification is a plus.
