I bought the Distinctive HR (David Siler) study materials.  I had access to an online LMS that had video seminars, quizes, games, and practice tests. It also came with audio files, flash cards, a big study book, and the Seven Princes book.

The audio files were awesome! I was able to listen to them in the car, at work, and at the gym everyday. The Seven Princes was a key to my success on the exam as well. For me the situational judgement questions were not that hard. Yes, they can be tricky but if you look at HR from the perspective that your employees are the most valuable asset it really helps you to get to the right answer. 

There is also a Facebook group that is for people just like yourself that are taking either the HRCI or SHRM exams. Look up PHR/SPHR/SHRM Certification HR Professional Study Group and join that. Victoria Purser runs the group and she is awesome! She also has a bootcamp that she runs which is a one-day webinar-based overview of David Siler's materials and it's only $99.

Good luck you you, Nikki. I utilized an app called Quizlet which had some premade flashcards from others studying for the SHRM-CP exam. I found it to be very helpful for when I had some down time-commute, lunch, right before bed.
