ATS Recommendations

Hi all!

Does anyone have an ATS they love? or hate? I'd love to hear feedback as we are exploring investing in one now.

Thanks!
Amy

  • Hello Amy,

We have used a few, but we switched to a robust ATS that we love, Newton Software. It is a web portal. It has great analytics, collaboration tools for recruiting teams and offers seamless integration of job posting, phone screens, interview scheduling and hiring.  You can posts jobs anywhere and link it to the ATS, so it tracks the stats of incoming applications from where you post the job.  It helped us evaluate more effectively where to advertise our jobs and often saved us money.  It allows  us to import into our HRIS system with Paycor.  It was so good that Paycor acquired Newton last year.

    Sincerely,

  • Hi Amy, Like Jennifer, we have used quite a few. When we spun off our company, we looked at a ton, but selected iCIMS. Been using it for 4 years and it's very affordable, has the functionality (and better actually) than some of the larger ones we have used, allows you to post everywhere with a click, good application for international needs, and integrates as well with HRIS (we elected not to do this since we've changed HRIS systems as well since the implementation) or background check systems. Honestly don't have any constructive feedback - it has met all of our needs. Please ping me if you want to discuss further. Contact info below. Thanks, Kim

  • Hi Amy,

I have used both Taleo and iCIMS.

I have to say that Taleo is so far behind the new way of doing things that to me it is more of a barrier than a help.

iCIMS is a much easier platform to work with, and what I love is that it is very customizable as long as you have the right Administrator.  I was the iCIMS administrator and a recruiter for the agency I used to work for, but because I am an HR geek I had a lot of fun with it.  Now, the tough part is getting those reports to come out right.  Sometimes, I feel that they make creating reports tough so we have to call their helpdesk.  I called a few times with a few changes I wanted to make and the funny thing is that they told me the report I wanted to make could not be done, but I eventually figured out a way around it.  By the time it was done, each recruiter had their own reports and dashboards to look at. Our managers had a way of quickly looking over activity reports and submissions per recruiter that made evaluations so much easier. This also allowed us to quickly see where we needed to shift our efforts and our staff.

So I loved it.  Did I also mention that an Admin can make mass updates in case you need to quickly change a few things?  I also like that you can upload resumes in bulk by using email.  Yes, I love that one.  If you have any questions feel free to email me or give me a call.

One thing that you must be very careful with is what kind of rights everyone has because it is very easy to download the entire database in to a spreadsheet, but as long as you have a good administrator you will be fine.

Now I have also heard that ADP is a good one too, but I can't tell you from experience.

    I hope this helps!
