I am excited to announce a Two-Day (16 hour) customized HR Certification Exam Prep Course on Friday March 11 and Saturday March 12 in Hamilton, Ohio.
Topics covered during this course include; exam taking and study tips, review of the core topic areas, and a 300 question practice exam. Participants will receive access to an online HR e-book, online customized study site with over 50 practice exams and multiple study tools.  The class also includes a workbook and a test prep book.

The other thing that makes this course unique, is that it is designed around the study needs of the participants. Prior to our session, participants are asked to provide their top topics which they would like more information on relative to the test.  Which ensures that their specific study needs are addressed.

Tom is currently employed by the University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Professor - Educator in their Organizational Leadership/Human Resource Management Program.  A 1990 UC MALER graduate of with almost 30 years of experience, Thomas Mobley, SPHR is a respected expert in the HR field. As a Human Resource Consultant and University Professor he has demonstrated his ability to transfer knowledge and provide others with the tools they need to succeed. In Mobley Human Resource Consulting Tom has combined his corporate and teaching experience to create workshops and presentations that are both practical and effective.   He was honored to be recognized as one of three finalists for Miami University’s 2013/14 Distinguished Teaching Award.

Tom’s broad background includes work with Fortune 100 firms, government agencies, start-ups, and international companies. His expertise has been sought out and included in articles in USA Today, CNBC, MSNBC, and Dow Jones’ MarketWatch. In addition to being part of the faculty at the University of Cincinnati, Tom is a past State Council Director for the Ohio State Council of SHRM and has served on the SHRM Board of Director’s Membership Advisory Council Representative for SHRM’s North Central Region. In 2011, he co-founded GETDOT Cincy – a non-profit professional networking group which aids its members and has raised over $11,000 for local children’s charities.

Tom received his SPHR Certification in 1991 and his “SPHR – Life Certification” in 1997. This past December he obtained his SHRM-SCP.  Over the last 20+ years he has taught HR Certification Preparation Courses and Classes for Ohio University, Miami University, The Greater Cincinnati Human Resource Association, Sinclair College and others.  Tom is VERY proud of his 9 students from his 2014 class who achieved a 100% pass rate on the HRCI Certification Exam.  He has taught graduate andunder graduate HR related courses for the Dalian University of Technology, DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School and Miami University’s Farmer School of Business.  Some of the courses taught include: Training & Development, Leadership, Negotiations, Compensation, Benefits, Human Resource Information Systems, Staffing, Employment Law, Labor Relations, Human Resource Management and Organization Behavior.

He has traveled to China in 2014 and 2015 to teach International HR Management and Negotiation Courses for the International MBA and Graduate School for Dalian University of Technology (ranked in the top 10 for MBA programs in China) and while there presented a lecture for HP on Leading Through Change.  He has also visited local businesses and given guest lectures on Emotional Intelligence and Overcoming Bias.  He plans on traveling to South Korea to provide Leadership Training for a high tech frim in the future.

Tom lives in Hamilton, OH with his wife and 3 children.  He has co-coached their son’s First Lego League Team, which has reached the State Tournament the past two years and he has been recognized as an Outstanding Mentor/Coach in both district and regional competitions.  Over the past year he has been providing DiSC Leadership Training for Fluor-BWXT’s management team.   This past fall, he and his daughter Cori presented a session on Overcoming Selection Bias at the Ohio HR Conference in Sandusky, Ohio.
