Charity of the month: A Brush of Hope
A Brush of Hope is a non profit organization dedicated to creating a support system, through the venue of art, for girls who are struggling with social, environmental or mental health situations such as anxiety, depression and/or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Workshops and classes, which are offered at a studio in downtown Lebanon and in after school enrichment programs are designed to provide support and build character during this challenging time in their lives. The art curriculum are crafted to teach leadership skills, coping mechanisms, conflict resolution, and personal accountability while boosting the girls' self esteem and improving each girl's ability to build healthy relations. Over 500 girls have participated in the program during the 2015-2016 school year.
