3rd Party Worker's Compensation Provider

(This came to me anonymously from an HR Manager of a mid-size firm. - Steve)

We're looking at sending out requests for an RFP for a 3rd Party Worker's Compensation provider. We have had the same provider for several years, but want to see what else is out there.

We're in the Greater Cincinnati area as a company.

Companies we'd like feedback on:

1)  Hunter Consulting

2)  Sedgewick

3)  Matrix Claims Management

4)  Sheakley

We're open to others as well. Thanks for any insight you can lend.

I would humbly (and selfishly) suggest you take a look at V+A Risk Services. We represent several Cincinnati area landmarks and I could put you in touch and let them tell you all about us. Feel free to reach out privately kfinley@variskservices.com. Thanks!

  • If your company is part of a Chamber of Commerce, you can likely get discounts using Hunter Consulting (If you are part of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce this is the one we offer) or Sedgewick. Both are offered through SOCA (Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance). I have meet Jeff Price with Hunter Consulting a handful of times. He is very nice and knows his stuff. We were offering both Sedgewick and Hunter until 2024, and we stayed with Hunter as our sole 3rd party site because it was what our members preferred.

Shameless plug, if you are not a member of a Chamber of Commerce, I can chat with you about that. :)
