Seeking Feedback on Brightmine for HR Compliance Resources

Hi everyone,

I’m currently evaluating Brightmine as a potential resource to support our HR compliance and employment law needs, and I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actively using the platform.

As an HR leader, I’m always on the lookout for tools that offer reliable, up-to-date guidance, especially around complex topics like multistate compliance, policy development, and legal updates. Brightmine seems promising, but before moving forward, I want to ensure it provides the depth, accuracy, and usability we need for both strategic planning and day-to-day decision making. The demos do not provide enough in-depth capability.

If you’re a current Brightmine user (or have used it recently), I’d really appreciate your insights on:

  • How comprehensive and current are the compliance resources?

  • Is the platform easy for your team to navigate and use regularly?

  • How does it compare to other vendors you’ve used (e.g., SHRM, ThinkHR, etc.)?

  • Any limitations or features you wish it had?

Feel free to respond here or message me directly. I’d welcome the chance to connect for a quick chat.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello!  I have been a Brightmine subscriber for years and I absolutely love it.  It is comprehensive, updates come directly to my inbox, the site is easy to navigate, and the customer support is fantastic.  I have also used Mineral and I find it to be much better.  I know the subscription is not inexpensive, but it's totally worth it.

Hi Christie! Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated. I have access to Mineral as well but have not used Brightmine. Without taking cost in consideration, if you only had access to one of these (Brightmine or Mineral) which one would you select based on resources available / reliability / functionality? I can provide work email if you'd rather answer privately. :)

you're very welcome!  I would choose Brightmine, hands down.  I use it to create employee handbooks regularly and the resources are fantastic.
