This interactive workshop focuses on promoting mental health in the workplace by equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify potential mental health issues, support colleagues, and create a healthy work environment. Participants will learn about the importance of mental well-being at work, common mental health issues, and practical strategies for fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of mental health in the workplace and its impact on productivity and employee well-being
  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health issues among colleagues
  • Apply effective communication and active listening skills to support colleagues experiencing mental health challenges
  • Implement strategies to create a mentally healthy workplace environment
  • Identify resources available for employees seeking mental health support

Presenting: Dr. Kevin Sansberry, II

Dr. Kevin Sansberry II, a renowned behavioral scientist and executive coach, is passionate about fostering evidence-based, inclusive, and equitable leadership. His transformative work aims to proactively eliminate toxic behaviors that can hinder profitability, innovation, and overall wellbeing. As a highly effective executive coach, Dr. Sansberry delivers research-informed solutions across diverse sectors, including professional sports, higher education, nonprofit, sales, and large complex organizations.

He is the founder and principal of KEVRA Consulting, a firm committed to utilizing research-based solutions to tackle organizational challenges related to inclusion, equity, belonging, HR strategy, and leadership coaching and development. In high demand as a speaker and consultant, Dr. Sansberry engages with leaders worldwide to share his expertise in toxic leadership, human capital strategy, and cultivating inclusive cultures of belonging. This approach not only enhances organizational performance but also places employee wellbeing at the center. He has authored numerous articles on various subjects, such as CEO narcissism, abusive supervision, and workplace authenticity, and is constantly exploring new ways to bridge the gap between research and best practices to help organizations and employees thrive.

As the creator and host of the Toxic Leadership Podcast, Dr. Sansberry achieved remarkable success, reaching the number four position for nonprofit podcasts in the United States in 2021. Dr. Sansberry earned his Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where he examined the effects of abusive supervision on organizational culture, climate, and employee coping behaviors. He also holds an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a focus on leadership, change in human systems, and general management, and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Central Missouri.
