Must see conferences for 2016?

What are your "must see" conferences for this year?  I've got several on my wish list (SHRM National & State conferences; HR Tech; HRevolution; DisruptHR), but I'm curious what others might be out there.

  • I may be partial, but the Alabama SHRM State Conference is shaping up to be good! The full schedule should be released soon, I'll post the link then! :)

Thanks for posing this question, Brian. I'm curious about others' opinions of the HR Technology Conference which I see is in Chicago this year. Is it a good value for the money? Well organized? I've never attended.

If you're bleeding edge tech, the yes, it's a good value. However, if budgets are tight, you'll see a lot of cool toys you can't afford.

My state SHRM wish list as of today: Ohio, Illinois, Alabama, Minnesota, Florida, HR Southwest.

  • I know I'm partial, but I think KYSHRM does an amazing job. I've been a speaker at numerous state and regional HR conferences, but we do it right in KY! This year the conference will be earlier; the dates are August 30 - Sept 1.

Thanks for the note about HR Tech, Brian Deming .

BTW...everyone else, I would be doing my own state a disservice if I failed to plug HR Indiana. It's the second largest state SHRM conference in the country (believe it or not) and has tons of certification credits and great speakers!

I did some more digging stumbled across the following. Some (overseas) may be unrealistic, but another source to consider.
