11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Announcements & Lunch
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Speaker

Learning Objectives:

1. To understand the research behind what’s driving this mega trend to re-design performance management strategies and processes.
2. To learn what’s replacing the annual performance evaluation, including details from two local companies who are currently transforming their practices. This will also include insights into the link to compensation plan design.
3. To gain a “blueprint for action” for you to lead this transformation at your organization.

Session Description:

There’s been a lot of talk in recent years about “killing” the traditional annual performance review, but let’s dive into the details of what that actually might look like in practice. We’ll talk through some of the biggest areas of concern with the evolving state of performance management, such as alternate options for numerical ratings, documentation requirements, alignment with compensation strategy, and manager training and support. In a show-and-tell type setting with real examples from local companies who have gone through the transformation, attendees at this session will walk away with applicable strategies to bring back into their workplace.
