Mountain Crane Service at Part-time HR/Payroll Assistant in Salt Lake City, Utah

Position is primary backup for the HR and Payroll Managers. Will assist with payroll and HR related assignments.

Responsibilities and Duties
· HR Focus-
· Help enter in New Hires into multiple software systems
· Maintain all HR files to help keep them compliant and current
· Assist in the process of sending employees in for their random drug screenings
· Fill in as needed for interviews, termination’s and disciplinary actions
· Assist with moving the office to paperless by helping digitize our files.

· Payroll Focus-
· Assist with weekly submission of payroll on the ADP system
· Work directly with the departmental managers to ensure accuracy on the time
· Help prepare the payroll reports including union reports
· Help to ensure that all New Hires, rate changes are entered correctly prior to payroll running
· Help to ensure accurate W-2s for end of the year. Review once a quarter.

Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· Minimum of one year of either payroll processing, accounting/ bookkeeping, or Human Resources experience
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload
· Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality
· Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and the ability to learn, adapt quickly and build relationships
· Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate skills in other MS applications
· Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience with ADP
