Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT is seeking a temporary, part-time HR Assistant to join our small HR team. Candidates should have 2-3 years of administrative experience including data entry and excellent customer service skills. 

Temporary, Part Time Role: 20 hours per week (flexible schedule, Monday-Friday)

Reports to Acting Director of Human Resources 

Responsibilities:  

  • Primary responsibility will be assistance with the current personnel file audit/project.

Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Translating new hire documents/policies into Spanish
  • Serve as first point of contact for Human Resources Department by answering phones and emails and providing a warm welcome when greeting visitors
  • Administrative tasks such as scanning documents, filing, ordering/maintaining office supplies  
  • Creating and maintaining employee files and new hire documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and personal information
  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements: 

  • 2-3 years of administrative experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree with Business or HR major preferred
  • Prior HR experience preferred 
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
  • Familiar with applicant tracking database systems is an asset
  • Excellent customer service 
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong and effective communication skills 
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
