53 Weeks in 2020

Is anyone handling 2020 differently for payroll purposes with having 53 weeks in 2020?  I know this happens about every 7 years but trying to get an idea on how other handle it.

    There is really nothing you can do from a payroll perspective as a result of 2020 having 53 pay dates for your company unless you want to change the pay frequency.  I have seen organizations send communications to employees making them aware that the additional pay date will be included on their Form W-2,

  • We will have 27 vs. 26 payrolls in 2020.  We have determined for exempt employees their annual pay will be divided by 27 payrolls.
