Total Compensation Statements

(This question came to me from a fellow HR practitioner anonymously. Thanks - Steve)

Does your company distribute Total Compensation statements? If so, what program do you use to generate the documents? Do you have any advice in implementing Total Compensation reports?

  • Yes, I have prepared and distributed Total Compensation reports for my company, with the assistance of our benefits broker. Our broker provided me with the spreadsheet and I gathered all of the data. Contact me if you would like to chat more.

  • We've provided total compensation statements for the past few years. They are delivered electronically and are available for the entire year. 
    We use Total Rewards Builder - which allows us to have a branded login page, intro letter from the VP of HR and a branded page by page view of their total rewards details. 

    We've had great feedback from our community about how it breaks down the components of their comp in different tabs, as well as providing a holistic view. 

    BUT - I can't stress enough how important the manager follow-up with employees is. This has helped answer questions and make talking about their compensation a 'safe place'.
