Recommendation for a professional coach

I have 5 first line supervisors who are in need of a coach. These individuals are new to a supervisor role and need help developing their 'people management' side. I am looking for someone in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Suggestions are appreciated! Thanks

  • Sally - I'm with Miami University's Corporate & Community Institute and we have a partnership with Rubi Ho for leadership coaching. We also have a program coming up in April that may be just what you're looking for ... the learning would be customized for each supervisor and includes 1-on-1 coaching ... about a 2-month program. You can contact me at either 513-895-8878 or mcnabpl@miamioh.edu.

  • Sally,

Several of my clients (and I myself) have used Beckman Consulting for coaching. Michelle Beckman is in Columbus but she has clients across the country. I highly recommend her. Her website is www.beckmanconsulting.net

  • I've used Direct Effect Solutions before (Mindy Price: http://directeffectsolutions.com/aboutus.shtml. And I have also used Steve Anderson from Integrated Leadership Systems (http://integratedleader.com/speakers/steven-l-anderson-ph-d-mba).

Both are based in Columbus, but I'm sure Cincinnati wouldn't be an issue.

  • Ellen Dunnigan from Accent On Business is a GREAT resource for this type of training! Her training is never canned - it is tailored to the individual and training is available in a variety of methods. She is able to provide you with quite a few current referrals from individuals who have not only received the training themselves, they have also engaged her to work with their employees. She can be reached at: Ellen@AccentOnBusiness.net or 317-218-5111 (www.AccentOnBusiness.net). I highly recommend her services! Would you like an introduction to Ellen? I'm happy to introduce you to each other!

  • I'd highly recommend Linda Gravett of Gravett & Associates. Linda is a published author, most recently releasing Leadership in Balance: New Habits of the Mind. She is also an instructor at XU in their HR program. She is an experienced coach; coaching comes naturally to her. I would highly recommend her. You can reach her at linda@gravett.com or (513) 532-6225. Let her know I recommended her to you. Good luck!

  • Sally:  you may also want to look at TriHealth EAP.  They have various kinds of supervisory training and coaching available at very reasonable prices.  They utilize group and individual methods so that individuals get just what they need.  They also use an Emotional Intelligence method which further individualizes the training/coaching.  www.trihealtheap.com

  • Since it really depends on the preferences of the person being coached, who do they want - male/female, in person/remote/combination, ethnicity, experience, etc.  Our team does coaching in many sectors - manufacturing, government, financial, education, health care - and, because we are trust agents, we recommend too.  Global or domestic.  Multiple authors and doctorates.  We try to match coach to candidate based on backgrounds and expectations.  Dave 610-384-1827
