Call for HR Presentations
HR peeps - if you present on HR topics or know of a dynamo who does, see this Call to Presentations from the Association of Legal Administrators due by Jan 31. I especially like topics that challenge our critical thinking skills, takes us to new levels, and encourages HR professionals to view themselves as business professionals. And as Steve Browne would say, sessions that get us even more geeked about the HR profession:)
I'm on the HR conference committee to be held in October in Chicago, and we'll soon start planning which includes reviewing calls for presentations. Check it out:

Hi Tess,
Our committee meets later this month so we don't have a theme yet. The audience will be a mix of HR professionals working in the legal field or law firm administrators who are responsible for HR as well as other areas. We're looking for topics that help elevate HR professionals - forward thinking topics.
Performance evaluation process is a fairly hot topic with some organizations doing away with them or revamping, so that's one suggestion. Topics that appeal to me involve how HR pros can be true partners in their organizations, bringing innovative solutions instead of being guided by rules and regulations (obviously we have to comply with employment law). Topics on how HR pros can and should elevate their own performance, etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheryl
