We're hiring an HR Assistant who is passionate about helping people! The HR Assistant will support the Talent & People Team in an on-site role at our Jenkins Township, PA Warehouse. This role will assist newly hired employees through their orientation and onboarding, ensure compliance with our COVID-19 safety measures, answer employee questions, and work as a liaison between the Warehouse Associate team and our larger Operations Team.

This is a seasonal position with an initial contract period of 3 months.

What you’ll do

  • Own the onboarding process, from New Hire Orientations to handing off the new hire to team manager
  • Assist with day today employee request and inquiries
  • Assist in payroll functions including answering employee questions, helping employee submit Time Off Requests
  • Support HR related inquiries
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee personnel files and conversations
  • Assist New Hires with systems onboarding and other benefits enrollments
  • Develop sourcing strategies to find the best possible candidates, along with our recruiter
  • Collaborate with the Talent & People team to continually improve processes and experience
  • Assist with supplies ordering and restocking
  • Liaison for employees and IT support needs
  • Routinely visit departments across the operation to ensure current Covid-19 protocols are being followed
  • Reporting and escalating any work related injuries
  • Assist Area Managers with performance management procedures
  • Be an ambassador of our cultural values in all day-to-day interactions
  • Promote company events and helps coordinate set up and attendance
  • Help out with other projects and duties as needed

Who you are

  • 1-2 years experience of HR assistant experience , with a preference for Warehouse/Distribution background
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment
  • Friendly, extroverted, and enjoy talking to employees of all backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely flexible with change and remains calm under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred
