Books to improve leadership/management?

A friend asked me for a book recommendation to help him be a better leader/manager.  He feels confident in his "hard" skills and would like to improve his "soft" skills. He senses that being a better manager would help him reduce turnover and help his business in numerous ways. What book would you recommend?

Thank you.

Here are two books that may be helpful.

Bud to Boss outlines practical steps new supervisors can take to face the challenges of leadership with confidence. Although geared to the transition of a new supervisor, there is content anyone can use.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0470891556/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0470891556&linkCode=as2&tag=k0cca-20&linkId=F5QLYJGTAJLZ2QVC

Remarkable Leadership is a practical handbook written for anyone who wants to hone the skills needed to become a remarkable leader.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/078799619X/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=078799619X&linkCode=as2&tag=k0cca-20&linkId=JR3AZ5END4Y32F6L

    Good luck.

Hello Chuck! I debating posting this - running the risk of self-promotion - but then decided that your friend is the kind of person who could really use: https://smile.amazon.com/Conscious-Culture-build-great-workplace/dp/0578905779

I hope it inspires him in some way :). Happy to chat more about it too.

I really liked First Break All the Rules. It has Gallup backed research and avoids memoir-esque  and self help style. Highly recommend
