Employee Newsletter Vendors/Programs (internal communications)

I'm looking to do an e-newsletter for internal communications with our employees.  I've found a lot of external communications partners that do e-newsletters (MailChimp, Klaviyo, etc) but having trouble finding a vendor that does internal-facing communications like this.

Does anyone have a program or vendor they use to help with this process?  My plain Outlook emails are too boring, haha!

Thanks - Katie

Canva has been a god send to brighten up my emails, company notices, and internal employee announcements, I created a Culture Crew Corner quarterly newsletter there as well. I have the free version, but our marketing team has a full account and we piggy back imagery to stay "on brand". Check it out - https://www.canva.com/

I am following for additional tools/resources from others.  Hope this helps!

  • We use MailChimp for our internal newsletter and love it! Very easy to use and looks great on desktops and mobile devices. Gotten great feedback from our employees (and they are actually reading the newsletters now!) 😄

  • We use SharePoint for file storage and sharing, and have recently put together an intranet page on it.  There's a news stories webpart that has newsletter capabilities.  We are able to email a newsletter to our employees that has the stories' image, headline, and several words from the stories themselves.  Employees can then click on any news item of interest to read more about it.  The newsletter is a simple layout and is useful to our employees since it's not a huge amount of information coming to them and they can pursue more information if they're interested.  It's easy to update and we're able to send it out weekly.  It works really well for my company.

    • Julia Bertermann I think this is a next step for us too.  Getting a "Hub" going with public facing information, news updates, calendar items and sending out in a newsletter.  Thank  you!

  • Good Afternoon!  My name is Andrea, and I am with the City of Columbus Department of Public Safety.  My Partner, the Department's HR Analyst, uses Canva!  The program has animated features; you can add Youtube links, photos, etc.  Our newsletters are informative and entertaining, and to the point.  Our employees value the time taken to receive the monthly newsletters March edition

  • I use Canva for the graphics in my daily newsletter but for the template and scheduling I use Brevo, it was Sendinblue.  It's free depending on how many people you are sending it to.
