We are currently assisting our client, Fortune 500, with a Director of Human Resources search located near Louisville, KY. Reporting to the CHRO, the successful candidate will lead and deploy HR strategies within a $1B+ Business Unit. This business unit is a growth focused segment of the company, with manufacturing, assembly, and distribution locations throughout the US and Mexico. As a member of the leadership team, this individual will partner with peers in providing counsel, guidance, and support for their various business plans and needs. This is a highly visible, high impact position where a successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a decisive role in the future success and growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business results by aligning structure, people and capabilities with business strategy; ensure initiatives translate into concrete actions and tangible outcomes that enable the organization to meet its business goals
  • Provide expertise to HR managers at multiple plants across the Business Unit; ensuring compliance and alignment on associate relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, staffing and organizational development
  • Manage organizational development initiatives such as talent development and succession planning through implementation of competency frameworks; and consultation, development plan execution and measurement/evaluation of talent
  • Partner with HR colleagues to develop and administer reward systems and programs that drive achievement of business goals
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all HR programs and practices against relevant companies, industries, and markets
  • Serve as an advocate for HR programs, communicating the business value of initiatives and managing program roll out to minimize business disruption
  • Serve as general advisor on employment law and government regulations
  • Travel as business needs require to support key initiatives and positive employee relations

Requirements:

  • BS in Human Resources or related field
  • 10 years progressively responsible HR experience
  • Demonstrated experience with US manufacturing required
  • Demonstrated experience with Mexico manufacturing preferred

Total Compensation:

  • Commensurate with Experience
