Recruiting is marketing—and Steve has built his career on that principle since 2005. After earning a B.S. in Finance from BYU, he co-founded ApplicantPro in 2008 during a recession. The company grew into a nationally recognized HR tech provider and, in 2025, became iSolved Talent Acquisition, now serving over 177,000 clients and nearly 7 million employees. iSolved is one of only ten ATS platforms nationwide to earn Indeed’s Platinum Partner designation three years in a row.

Steve holds both SHRM-CP and PHR certifications and was honored with the Utah Small Business HR Achievement Award in 2024. He served as Utah SHRM’s State Executive Director continues to contribute his time with Utah SHRM. Author of The Hiring Tree: Laws of Applicant Attraction and co-host of The HR Life Podcast, launched in 2025, Steve's work helps HR professionals connect SEO, marketing, and AI to effective hiring practices.
