Centennial is seeking a strategic Director of Human Resources for a company that builds and services customized pools and spas for homeowners and businesses. As a respected and growing business, the organization is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and craftsmanship and wants to hire individuals who work to this degree of excellence.

The Director of Human Resources will collaborate with the executive team and will own the recruiting, hiring, and retention strategies of the company. Additionally, the Director of HR will ensure the HR goals are aligned with the business initiatives to help the company reach its aggressive growth goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent strategic planning capabilities, a hands-on leadership approach and a passion for organizational development.

This position will work in-office in Northern KY.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the staffing process including, but not limited to, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of full-time and seasonal workers.
  • Contribute to the interview process across all departments and manage the staffing of the HR department.
  • Partner with the executive team to ensure goals and KPI’s set by HR are aligned with the goals of the organization as a whole.
  • Collaborate with management and department heads to post new positions in the appropriate channels.
  • Ensure job postings are up to date, as well as within compliance with legal regulations- Federal and State.
  • Utilize market research to develop a strategic compensation program for the various departments and employment levels.
  • In cooperation with the Controller/CFO, develop a retention strategy program that aligns to the compensation program.
  • Monitor compensation and retention strategies and record suggestions of ongoing changes/ adaptations to adapt to market changes, inflation, and performance.
  • Partner with department heads and management on departmental and employee performance.
  • Assist in the establishment of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) at both the department and employee level.
  • Record performance on a cadenced basis and communicate feedback to the necessary parties.
  • Oversee the relationship of performance management and the compensation/ retention program strategies.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently across the organization.
  • Maintain all internal HR systems and oversee/offer guidance to the HR department and its employees.
  • Maintain org charts at a company and division level. Adjust the charts and communicate changes when appropriate.
  • Maintain thorough records of employees and their information including addresses and contact info., as well as emergency contact information that can be accessed quickly.
  • Develop strategy and action plan for when emergency contacts need to be utilized. Additionally, develop a cadenced plan for employees to confirm/ make changes to their personal information to ensure records are up to date.
  • Implement conflict resolution strategy that can be referenced when the need arises.
  • Input yourself directly, or assign someone within the HR department, to assist with conflict resolution instances to completion.
  • Keep proper and thorough records of conflicts, their resolutions and actions agreed upon, so it may be referred to if needed.
  • Act as head of legal compliance and perform/ assign audits to all departments within the organization. This may include, but is not limited to, website language, printed language, compensation, employee turnover, as well as internal and external communications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years' experience in an HR leadership role
  • HR management skills, including legal compliance, compensation/benefits analysis, organization roadmap development, and the mentoring and development of existing HR team members
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and all employees
